DanAid will stand by you in times of hardship.
DanAid was created in 2018 after a series of iterations with different models since 2001. The need for the service arose from realising that less than 5% of the population in Cameroon had health insurance (as in many sub-Saharan African countries), while at the same time the cost of care for families has been increasing. This situation leads to deaths from easily curable diseases, delays in treatment, or families becoming impoverished as a result of illness.
DanAid provides relief to its members by covering 70% of a family’s basic health expenses, while improving access to quality care. This is achieved through an online (mobile) platform as well as a network of health professionals in a special “care pathway” that is monitored and coordinated by a dynamic team.
